The Sat Swear Jar

I struggle to teach my kids bitcoin. I gave my kids some keys with bitcoin, but they're not as deep down the nerdy rabbit hole as me. I want them to understand so I talk about quite a bit.
The other day, my teenage son yelled like a teenager, "You never shut up about bitcoin! It's annoying."
So I said, "I do talk about bitcoin too much. Let's make a deal. I will make you something like a swear jar. If I say the word bitcoin, I'll pay a dollar worth of bitcoin and give it to you at the end of a year. "
"Deal."
Yesterday, he says, "Dad, I need you to talk about bitcoin again, because I need some more."
I send a dollar's worth of bitcoin to it every day if I talk about bitcoin or not. I use LNBits and the Minibits wallet, but the lightning address QR code Primalprovides would work just as well.
How I Made A Bitcoin Swear Jar
- I spray painted this wooden jar.
- I wrote, "sat swear jar" with an acrylic marker.
- I printed a QR code of an LNBits instance using the Scrub extension and TPOS extension set up to send sats to a Minibits wallet. In retrospect, a lightning address QR code would have worked too.
- I printed the QR code and glued it to the wood.
